What is P.A.C.T?
P.A.C.T is a parenting and mediation workshop presented by experienced parenting instructors, mediators and attorneys to parents involved in divorce and custody proceedings to provide parenting education and to assist in properly resolving custody and timesharing disputes through the development and filing of an agreed custody plan.
Attendance at P.A.C.T
P.A.C.T is held one Saturday per month from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. at the Chaves County Courthouse on 400 N Virginia Ave., Roswell, New Mexico. Entry to the courthouse is located on the east side of the courthouse through the doors facing Virginia Ave.
All attendees must bring a government-issued form of ID (i.e. a State of New Mexico-issued driver’s license or ID card) to be allowed into P.A.C.T.
Each attendee is required to pay a $15.00 mediation fee for the class. This fee is due before or on the day of the class and is payable to the Chaves County District Court Clerk’s Office. Accepted forms of payment are cash and money order. Personal checks will not be accepted.
P.A.C.T Guidelines
Children, friends, and family members of attendees are not allowed entry into the class. No childcare is provided on-site for attendees and attendees are responsible for making childcare arrangements in advance of attending P.A.C.T.
Attendees are not allowed to bring food or drinks into P.A.C.T.
Attendees are not allowed to bring weapons or contraband into P.A.C.T.
Attendees under the influence of alcohol or any illegal drug or substance will not be allowed entry into P.A.C.T. and will be asked to leave.
Attendees are not allowed to bring their cellphones into P.A.C.T. Attendees should leave their cellphones in their vehicles as court security and P.A.C.T. staff will not be responsible for lost or stolen cellphones and cannot provide storage for cellphones or electronic devices for the duration of P.A.C.T.
